New Moon

I am sure many of you out there had read the saga Twilight. I am also sure that many of you have watched the movie Twilight as well. On Friday November 20 2009, the next movie of the saga came out. Many people of the world want to go watch this exciting new film. Luckily, thanks to our wonderful teachers in SAM, the entire grades 7s were able to participate in going to the movies on Tuesday November 24 to watch this popular film.

As usual, everyone went to school today and had their shortened period. Soon, after lunch, we would be leaving to board the TTC and have a ride to Scarborough Town Center. However, to avoid chaos, the entire grade sevens were separated into 3 groups. My class was in group 1 which consisted of 7e, 7f and 7g. The excitement got stronger when the clock hit 11:35 a.m. everyone quickly departed from the cafeteria, went to their locker to get their bus tickets and ran to the lobby (who would want to be late for this exciting day?!). Soon after waiting outside for attendance, Mr. Leavitt leaded the way to the bus stop. There, we waited a little while until the bus came. It didn't take long until the bus arrived in front of Scarborough Town Center. Everyone could barely stop talking because we were so excited. Once we got into the movie theater, we had to wait in the lobby, to wait for the other classes to arrive. After what seemed like hours of waiting, we finally got our movie tickets and popcorn and headed straight to theater number 11. Everyone quickly sat down and waited for the film to start. Soon, the lights dimmed, and the movie finally started. Time pasts REALLY quickly when you're having fun. After what seemed to be like an hour, the AWESOME movie was over. Soon, we departed and went back to school.

I loved the movie because it's plot. It was a very interesting Love Story, mostly because it is very original to have a werewolf, Jacob, and a vampire, Edward, fight for a regular teenaged girl, Bella. Also, the special effects were outstanding. The transformation from human to werewolf was very realistic. Not only that, but the make-up artist also did a great job making Robert Pattinson look like a pale vampire. However, the only downside to this film is that the end is a cliffhanger, making me want to see the next movie REALLY badly.

I can't wait until the next movie comes out!!
